Most clinics now days have reduced the treatment time in an effort to lower the office visit fee. Since most new patient's first question is how much is an office visit, and generally choose the cheapest, it is not hard to see that economicallythe lowest office visit feeis a great competitive tool.What most patients do not realize is that you will likely needtwo to three times as many office visits to accomplish what one slightly more expensive, yet significantly longer,office visit at our clinic would accomplish. Why waste time and gas traveling back and forth for treatment when more could be accomplished with a longer office visit ?
Treatment plans in our office typically average 6-12 visits with many minor problems resolving in only 3-4 visits. Most clinics have astandard treatment plan of20-40 visits no matter what type of problem.It becomes easy to see that 30 visits at $25 is not as good a deal as 6-10 visits at $50, especially when you factor in the extra travel time and gas. Then when you add in the extra time out of your schedule for needless travel and the additional impact on the environment, the choice becomes clear. Most patients spend between $200-$400 for an average problem in our clinic as opposed to the usual $1000-$2000 for a treatment plan in the so called "low fee" clinics. We also do not endlessly treat you in our clinic. We hold to a very strict protocol that if you are not at least 50% better within 4 weeks, we do not continue treatment and will refer you to another provider. Most problems we see are typically 50% better in only 2-3 weeks.

We have also found from talking with our patients who have tried the large "low fee" clinics, very little effort is put into individualizing your care for your specific problem. Everyone seems to get the same 20-40 visit treatment plan and most times even the exact same treatment.Treatment does not seem to differ from one patient to another as the only concern is how many visits the clinic can see you, not howquickly can your health problem be resolved. If youshould notice that treatment does not seem to differ from one patient to another, then something is very wrong!

It becomes clear that the lowest fee per visit does not always equal the best health care value. Even though our office visit fee may be a bit higher per visit, the overall cost of treatment is usually far less.

Our biggest concern is to tailor your care to meet your needs, not ours! Sounds "old fashioned", but it has worked for us for over 40 years.
