The Cumberland Eye Clinic is a patient-oriented practice that is committed to providing the highest level of quality service to our patients. Our staff will provide you with a professional and pleasant experience which begins the moment you walk through our door. We welcome new patients and participate in most major insurance plans.
Our roots began in 1965 in the Madison, Tennessee area, and we have been providing the highest quality of professional eye care for over 40 years. We moved to our current location within the Skyline Medical Center when it opened in 2000. Both Dr. James A. Bookman and Dr. Joseph W. Scobey began their medical practice with Cumberland Eye Clinic soon after completing their medical training.
The Cumberland Eye Clinic, along with doctors Bookman and Scobey urge you to remember that your vision is a precious gift that should not be neglected.

Everyone should have a complete eye exam at least every two years, and many conditions require more frequent exams. Feel free to stop by our office or call (615) 865-1860 to make an appointment to ensure that you have the best possible vision and eye health.

Emergency/After-Hours Contact
Cumberland Eye Clinic's telephone calls are transferred to a live telephone answering service after hours. Urgent or emergency problems are quickly forwarded to the doctor "on call".

If you have an emergency and can not reach the "on call" doctor, go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

After hour calls about prescriptions and re-fills will be handled on the next business day since your medical records are not available after hours
