Trees by Touliatos is a full-service 20-acre retail nursery located in the heart of Memphis, approximately 1 mile from Memphis International Airport. Plato and Sarah Touliatos started Trees by Touliatos in 1962. It was originally intended to be a Christmas tree farm, but Plato has never met a plant he did not like (Poison Ivy excluded). With a love for plants, we've expanded into shade trees, Crape Myrtles , shrubs, groundcovers, herbs, and eventually Japanese Maples and aquatic plants. Some time in this process wehave realized that the name Trees by Touliatos - or waterplants.net - was not descriptive of the diversity of plant material being grown in the nursery. We specialize in the production of 30 different kinds of Crape Myrtles, 40 cultivars of Japanese Maples, aquatic plants of all kinds, the largest selection of Bottlebrush Buckeye in the country, ornamental grasses, trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs, and natives of all kinds.
