Fish Springs Marina is the oldest continuously operating marina on beautiful Watauga Lake, having been in the White family for three generations, beginning with Ray White the day the lake opened in 1949. Tom White passed the torch to his son in 2001 and is now fully owned and operated by Thomas White, grandson of the original founder. Fish Springs Marina is the only true, full service marina on Watauga lake, providing fully certified on-water service department, open, covered, jet ski and houseboat slips, pontoon boat rentals, a twenty four hour fueling station, camp ground, boat and trailer storage, full service marina store and fishing guide service. Lance E. Forbes, originally from Elizabethton, TN, recently joined forces with our service manager, Richard Jenkins to round out our dedicated service department. Lance is a graduate of the Marine Mechanic’s Institute in Orlando, Florida and has received additional factory training from Mercury, Hatteras, Meridian, Searay and Yamaha. He joins Richard Jenkins who has been at the marina for the past several years.

Richard was born in Gastonia, North Carolina and grew up on Lake Norman. Having been in the marine industry since 1991, Richard is factory trained in Yamaha among other brands. Richard is a firm believer in continuing education, staying on the cutting edge of the latest marine technology.

Richard is an expert in all types of marine service including houseboats, inboard/outboard and outboard engines. Richard resides with his family in Mountain City and loves to hunt, fish and raise his family in these beautiful mountains.
