Stateside Missions Report
Our trip to Nashville to help in repairing flood damaged homes was a great success. During our stay, we not only worked on two different familys homes, we also had great fellowship with other volunteers from Cincinnati, Detroit and Knoxville. The Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville was our host providing a bed, showers, food and fellowship. Monday, our work week began with an overview of the flood damage and the work being done by volunteer organizations to assist the home owners. Sunset Gap Community Center in Cosby, Tennessee, is supported by the Presbytery of East Tennessee and Rivermont Presbyterian Church. It is a "Christian based organization uniting people of all faiths and providing programs that contribute to the physical, social, economic and spiritual growth of the people of Cocke and Sevier Counties."
