Welcome to our Office.
We are a group of endodontists, dentists specializing in saving teeth through root canal therapy. Our goal is for patients to leave our office, knowing that they received painless, pleasant and professional treatment. We have have been providing endodontic care to the Middle Tennessee community since the early 1970's - see our history. We do everything possible to exceed your expectations in every way. We provide amenities necessary to create a comfortable and soothing environment: including pillows, blankets, flat screen televisions and caring doctors and staff. We pride ourselves on our friendly efficient staff, and gentle and compassionate doctors.
Our office offers the most advanced technology and computer generated (digital) x rays. We adhere to stringent sterilization practices and techniques in our office and you can rest assured that all instruments are heat autoclaved to maximize sterile technique. All of our dental assistants are licensed by the TN Board of Dentistry and are CPR certified. They have received a certificate in nitrous oxide monitoring, and are required to complete annual continuing education hours.
Our doctors are specially trained to provide local anesthesia assuring that you are comfortable during your root canal. We want you to leave our office and be able to tell your friends that having a root canal was not what you expected... in fact is was a pleasant experience. You can count on us to recognize individual needs and try our best to take the time to listen and answer your questions. We know that we are not just providing our patients with a root canal... but we are also building trusting relationships. We hope that our office leaves you feeling like family, pampered and important. Our most valued relationship is with our patients!

Who is an Endodontist?
Endodontists are dentists with special training in saving teeth through root canal procedures. They provide only endodontic services in their practices. To become specialists, they complete dental school and complete additional two or more years of advanced training in endodontics. They perform routine as well as difficult and very complex treatments. Endodontists are also experienced in finding the cause of oral and facial pain that has been difficult to diagnose.

How does Endodontic Treatment Save the Tooth?
The Endodontist removes the inflamed or infected pulp, carefully cleans and shapes the inside of the tooth, then fills and seals the space. Afterwards, you will return to your dentist, who will place a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore it to full function.
An abscessed tooth has many causes: decay, repeated dental procedures, a crack or chip in the tooth, or trauma.
Signs of Pulp damage may include; prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, discoloration of the tooth, swelling and tenderness in the nearby gum, and sometimes there are not any symptoms at all, but signs of infection can be seen on the x-ray.

DID YOU KNOW?
More than 5 million teeth are knocked out every year. Both adults and children are at risk. With proper emergency action, a tooth that been entirely knocked out of its socket often can be successfully replanted and last for years.
