GREAT OCCASIONS FOR SERVING GOD COME SELDOM, BUT LITTLE ONES SURROUND US DAILY.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
TODAY IS VETERAN’S DAY AND IF YOU CAN THINK OF NOTHING FOR WHICH TO GIVE THANKS, YOU HAVE A POOR MEMORY. TAKE THE TIME TO THANK SOMEONE YOU KNOW (OR DON’T KNOW), WHO HAS SERVED OR IS SERVING IN OUR ARMED FORCES.
AMERICA ENJOYS A FREEDOM THAT IS NOT DUPLICATED IN ANY OTHER PLACE ON OUR PLANET. THAT ISBECAUSE OF THE SACRIFICE OF BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE FOR US IN THE PAST AND CONTINUE TODOSOTODAY. CROSSVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SALUTES OUR VETERANS!

ON OCTOBER 5, 2010 CCS WILL RAISE MONEY FOR FAMILIES WITHCHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER. HATS ON DAY WAS ORIGINALLY STARTED IN ST. LOUIS BACK IN 1995. AT THAT TIME, A GROUP OF DYNAMIC SIXTH-GRADERS CREATED A DAY TO RAISE AWARENESS OF CANCER IN HONOR OF ONE OF THEIR CLASSMATES WHO WAS BATTLING THE DISEASE. DID YOU KNOW THAT EACH SCHOOL DAY, 46 CHILDREN ARE DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER? THAT IS OVER 12, 600 CHILDREN A YEAR!!
WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ONE FAMILY’S LIFE. FOR EVERY HAT WE WEAR ON TUESDAY, WE WILL PAY $1.00 PER HAT. EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO BRING AS MANY HATS AS POSSIBLE. OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE AT LEAST $100 WHICH WILL PAY A FAMILY’S PHONE BILL. $250 WILL PAY A FAMILY’S UTILITY BILL. DID YOU REALIZE THAT 43% OF FAMILIES HAVE A PARENT EITHER GIVE UP OR REDUCE EMPLOYMENT IN ORDER TO CAREFOR THEIR CHILD? EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS A FAMILY IN NEED.
PLEASE JOIN US AS WE DEDICATE THIS TUESDAY TO SUPPORT THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER, WHICH IS TO FINANCIALLY ASSIST THE FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER.
