We at Barkley and Associates believe strongly in the innate power and health of the each individual. We believe that, given therapeutic information, humans will choose to be healthy. Our job is to help people look within to find their options and to find their own solutions to their own unique problems. As we guide our clients to a better understanding of themselves and their significant relationships, we strive always to strengthen their relationships though harmony. We consider the family an integral part of each clients life. Therefore, we work within the context of family systems to strengthen family relationships while assisting the individuals to achieve their unique potential.
Barkley and Associates is a group practice offering a wide range of psychotherapy, counseling, educational, and organizational consulting services for the past twenty five years to the citizens of Rutherford County and middle Tennessee. We offer our service to individual, families, and groups of all ages. At Barkley and Associates we use a holistic approach to therapy, integrating the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the client within the whole family system in which clients live. We use a brief therapy approach which concentrates on problem solution in the most time efficient and effective techniques.

Counseling/Psychotherapy: We offer counseling and psychotherapy for adults and children in individual, couples, family and group settings. We provide therapy for marital problems, drug and/or alcohol abuse, and other emotional or psychological difficulties.
Education: The educational programs offered by Barkley and Associates are directed toward lifestyle enrichment, couples communication, life skills, parenting and marriage and family enhancement.
What's New at Barkley and Associates?

Hours: Our practitioners are available by appointment Monday through Friday during the day and evening hours. After office hours we may be contacted via voice mail or to any emergency phone whose number is listed on our after hours voice mail announcement. A practitioner carries the emergency phone after hours and will answer or return calls as soon as possible.
