Welcome to the website of Akin Equine Veterinary Services. Akin Equine, located in Olive Branch, MS, was formed in 1991 to serve the West Tennessee and North Mississippi areas with quality equine care. We are a full service equine veterinary clinic.

Equine insurance is not just for “the expensive horse” anymore. There are two types of insurance available to the horse owner:
Mortality - covers the horse in case of death of the animal
Major Medical - covers the cost of catastrophic illness, injury, or surgery up to $7500.00. There is usually a deductible associated with this insurance and it varies. It is relatively inexpensive and costs approximately $250.00 per year.
