Special Need: All of our dogs sleep inside our facility at night, but they like to have a place to hang out in during the day, so we have big 10x10 runs for them outside. However, these outside dog runs arewearing out (they'vehad a lot ofuse for over 9 years now) and we desperately need some new ones. Lowes in Alcoa offers the Behlen Country 10x10x6 chain link kennel for $280.00 and we need approximately 10 of these kennels. If you would be willing to donate any kennels to our shelter, or a gift card to Lowes (in any amount), please let us know. We will arrange for pick up and even one new kennel will make a difference. Thank you so much!

"Look deep into the eyes of any animal, and then for a moment, trade places, their life becomes as precious as yours and you become as vulnerable as them. Now smile if you believe all animals deserve our respect and our protection, for in a way, they are us, and we are them."

HOW BIG IS YOUR HEART?
Doc! A beautiful Shepherd mix needs a home he can call his home. Doc is a special needs dog that has been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) Currently Doc is responding well to his medication however his life expectancy is not known. Doc could live a long time, but more likely than not, Doc will succumb to his illness sooner, rather than later. Currently Doc is residing at a local Vet's office. He is well cared for and is doing okay, but he really needs to be in a home where he can be loved and cared for. He is great with kids but no cats please.doc is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Since Doc's condition cannot be cured, our biggest hope andwish for Doc, is that he can spend his remaining time in a home with people that love him instead of living the rest of his life in a shelter. Medication for Doc costs approximately $80.00 per month, $40.00 of which will be sponosored by our Adoption Coordinator.

Donations forDoc's care can be madevia paypal or check. Check payable toAnimalWorks or VillageVeterinary Hospital.

Mail checks to AnimalWorks @ 3377 Regal Drive, Alcoa, TN 37701Donations can also be made through the "make a donation" button above (secure donation through paypal)

Please indicate "Doc" on your check or under comments on your paypal donation so that we can make sure your donation goes directly to his care.
