How to treat a scar?
I have a scar from a cat bite that I have had for about 10 years now, it is not very big at all but it is very visible. It's on my face close to the right side of my nose, it isn't very deep at all. I was wondering what would be my best option for getting rid of it. I was considering laser scar removal but I don't know much about it and I would like to know in your opinion what would be my best option for removing the scar.

There are several different options for treating scars. The simplest is medical therapy with medications like retinoid creams. A more aggressive option would be a surgical scar revision. As you had mentioned, more and more frequently we are using lasers. We do have the Fraxel re:store Dual laser in our office in Knoxville which can do a great job on scars.
