Etowah Health Care Center, located off Hwy. #411, on Grady Road, Etowah, Tennessee, opened for Residents April 1, 1980. The 120 bed intermediate and skilled (level I and level II) care nursing facility was built by the Town of Etowah, Tennessee, Health Care Department Corporation and leased for operation to Southeastern Health Care Facilities, Inc.
The nursing center has as it's primary service area McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk counties. The center also receives residents from other counties in Tennessee as well as other states. The center is licensed by the State of Tennessee and is approved for Medicaid (TennCare), Medicare, private insurance, private pay residents, respite, Hospice and V.A. contract. Members of the Tennessee Health Care Association and the American Health Care Association.
The guiding philosophy of Etowah Health Care Center is to develop a plan of care for each resident, which will rehabilitate the resident to his/her highest level of self care without regard to race, creed, religion, national origin, sponsor, age, sex, or handicap. The resident's needs are identified and a plan of care is developed to meet these needs.
It is the objective of the nursing center to deliver quality care seven days a week on an around-the-clock basis. Nursing personnel are committed to meeting each resident's adjustment, personal and social needs. The family is also included in the care planning process. The total effort at the nursing center is directed toward the comforts and well-being of the resident.
